Establishing your own E-commerce site is not like it used to be. Today there is much more competition and all want a piece of the same pie you are aiming for. Every scheme and method you can find to augment your sales would be very beneficial.

It is common knowledge that without traffic we have no business. Like any business, without any customers you don’t get sales. Traffic represents all the people that gets a chance to see what you have to offer. The more people who see your products the more people there would be to buy them.

There are ways to monetize your traffic and I will share some with you below:

The easiest and most proven method of making a profit from your web traffic is using advertising. The best and most proven method of making a profit out of your traffic is using advertising. The internet generates hundreds of thousands upon hundred of thousands of traffic everyday. Most of them are searching for something. While some are just looking for information there is also a good percentage that is looking for something that they need.

The internet has proven to be a very reliable source in finding what was deemed to be an unsearchable product and has made the world a smaller place.   You can advertise a product from the depths of Istanbul and still find a buyer in the center of Philadelphia.

However, in order for your advertising efforts to succeed you must have traffic and generating traffic is not an easy task. You have to contend with a great number of sites to generate a good number of traffic flow. But if done successfully this could open up a huge amount of  possibilities. One of the main benefits is the topic of this article, monetizing your web traffic.

In essence the more traffic you generate the more likely you are considered desirable. Not in a bad way but  in a sense that a good traffic flowing site is easily convertible to profit.  The simple formula is traffic equals profit. Advertising is the name of the game; with the good advertising scheme you can use your traffic flow to your advantage.

I’ve also spoken about affiliate marketing and how that can generate a profit for your site or product.  You can also incorporate the system of  “pay-per-click”. With every click a visitor of your site makes on an advertised link you will be paid. The more traffic you generate and the more clicks that happens would spell to more profits.

There are many ways and methods to monetize your web traffic.  What is definitely need is a bit of hard work and the desire to successfully launch a profit-earning site.

Do You Know Your Audience?

If you are marketing online it is important to know your audience. Do you know your audience?

The Internet has become one of the most popular ways to advertise and mainly because it can reach a worldwide audience and is available 24 hours a day.  Because of these known facts it is essential for businesses to establish an online presence.  Most importantly those who advertise online have to be aware of who their target audience is and how to reach this audience.

As with any marketing campaign, business owners should do some market research before they launch their Internet marketing campaign.  This can be done by hiring a research consultant or by creating surveys that will determine the basic demographical information for your target audience.   The results should also include information on how to reach this target audience.  Once you determine your target audience you will be able to tailor your marketing campaign to appeal your audience.

Your marketing can include the over appearance of your website as well as the wording of your copy used for advertising.  You may also want to incorporate audio and videos to attract your audience.  Audio and videos are appealing because your audience will be able to connect more with you then just simply providing text, this is one of the most popular interactive tools used today.

The aesthetic appeal of a website  and the copy included on this website can greatly contribute to how the website is viewed by your target audience. If your website is designed to attract the attention of an older generation with more conservative tastes you may choose to  include muted colors, clean design and conservative graphics and more conservative copy. This will help to ensure the target audience enjoys the website. Conversely if you are looking to appeal to a younger audience with more liberal viewpoints you might choose to design the website with bold colors, eye catching graphics and creative design features and copy that will display more emotion to appeal to this audience as well.

From the examples provided you will note how important it is to discover your audience in order to market effectively online.  Paying attention to the details required to attract your audience will help in making your Internet marketing efforts worthwhile.  So, again I ask you – Do you know your audience?

Becoming a Super Affiliate

Our discussion on affiliate marketing continues with this article and mainly we will discover how to become a super affiliate.

We all know that affiliate marketing can be a wonderful way to make money and we’ve discussed what affiliate marketing entails.  The first step is finding a niche market with products and services that you trust and believe. There are tremendous affiliate programs which offer you an abundance of tools and materials to promote and market their products. However, what you do with those tools and materials is entirely up to you.  You can be just another affiliate or a super affiliate.

So what exactly is a Super Affiliate?

Well, technically, a super affiliate is someone who generates a significant amount of profits for the products or services they represent.  A super affiliate can make a healthy living from their affiliate business alone while a standard every day affiliate may need to supplement their affiliate income with, gasp…a 9-5 job!

The Benefits of Becoming a Super Affiliate

The obvious  significant benefit to being a super affiliate is the income.  Many super affiliates make six figures by simply promoting the products and services of others.

Additionally, if you’re one of the main contributors to a company’s affiliate program they’re going to pay attention to you and your needs.  You may receive a higher percentage of sales you may receive first shot with new marketing materials and programs and you’ll get the support you need when you need it.

A Few Tips on Becoming a Super Affiliate

*Commit to publishing content every single day.  Content has proven time and again to be the best sales tool available to affiliate marketers.  Nothing, not even strategically placed ad copy works as well as providing quality content that pre-sells any product that you’re promoting on your website.Your content can include some of the following; auto responders, blog posts, social networking, articles, and press releases.

*Be sure to track and test.  By keeping track you will be able to determine where your prospects are coming from, what motivates them to click through and what information they read and respond to – then give them what they need.  Tracking and testing is the only way to hone your affiliate program into a smooth running, money making machine.

*Use the provided marketing materials and be willing to take it a step further.  Many affiliate programs do a great job of providing their affiliate with ready to marketing materials including: banner ads, buttons, email copy, promotional reports and articles.

Use the materials your affiliate manager has provided.  It’s been tested and developed for results.  That being said, be sure to create your own content too.  Even as an affiliate you are your own company and your website needs to reflect your personality and brand.  Building a community around your website and providing valuable content is a sure way to create a following that trusts you and your credibility – which will result in click throughs and affiliate sales.

*Pre-sell – The good news is that your job as an affiliate is to pre-sell products and services.   Pre-selling means your content, whether it is a review, article, tutorial, course, or blog post, speaks honestly about the products and services you promote.  Pre-selling is about providing value to your website visitors and prospects, making them comfortable with you and your authority to generate interest and a click through to the company website, where the selling happens.

*Follow up – Just like your affiliate manager follows up with you to see how you’re doing and what you need, follow up with your prospects.  A great way to do this unobtrusively is to create a lead list by providing a newsletter visitors can subscribe, a free report, or any number of products in exchange for an email address and the permission to contact them with valuable information and special promotions.

Being a Super Affiliate is the only way to go if you want to build a successful affiliate marketing business.  Find products and services you trust and believe in and then create a strategy to share information to your target audience.  Test and track your efforts, focus on providing value to your prospects and leave the selling to the companies you represent.  Helping others live better lives, without having to provide the products or services personally, is a great way to make a living.   I hope these tips have given you the information you need to become a super affiliate if you desire.

Do You Know About Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is heard all over the web, but do you know what it means?  It may have many different descriptions, but they all mean the same.

Affiliate marketing is a big part of online marketing.  Basically it is a a joined effort between merchants and an affiliate’s website.  It is an excellent way to make passive income, but unfortunately many do not understand what affiliate marketing truly is and they end up making costly mistakes.

There are common misconceptions associated with affiliate marketing, two of which are that affiliate marketing is ‘selling’ and ‘advertising’.  While the importance of advertising in marketing a certain product is not to be underestimated, the fact of the matter is, advertising like selling, is merely a part of the many functions of marketing.

In affiliate marketing, an affiliate is compensated for every visitor, subscriber and/or customer provided through his efforts. The said compensation may be made based on a certain value for each visit. The most attractive aspect of affiliate marketing from the merchant’s viewpoint is that no payment is due to an affiliate until results are appreciated.

Affiliate marketing is typically  run by affiliate networks which are composed of two functional bodies, the group affiliates and the group merchants with each having a special function and role when it comes to affiliate marketing. The network acts as a third party between the merchant and the associated affiliates. The network provides the technology to deliver the merchant’s campaigns and offers. The affiliate network also collects commission fees from the merchant and then pays the affiliates which are part of the program.

The merchant is any web site owner that wants or desires to take advantage of performance based marketing. The benefits to the merchant are many. First, the merchant maintains and operates the affiliate program. The merchant needs to do their part by researching interested affiliate websites to ensure that they are a good fit for that particular website. Finding a fit for their merchandise would be the key to more generated income.

The merchant has access to markets and customers without him spending valuable time searching out. Banner ads on affiliate sites are not distracting to the site user. It might produce interest for that product and drive the consumer to the merchants’ website. It is also the merchant who decides how much he is willing to pay for each sale that results from a visitor sent from an affiliate.

The affiliate marketer also sees a lot of benefits. The affiliate is a web site owner that promotes one or more merchants and their affiliate programs. Affiliate marketing can generate a full-time income for the affiliate, but will require some work on their part to see the income desired.  The affiliate needs to have a better understanding with the merchant what the commission will be, expected payment method and time involved in the contract.

The affiliate has also the responsibility to stand for the merchandise their user based would be most interested in. For example, if the site has a user base of mainly stay-at-home mothers, then on-line job openings such as surveys would be a good match for them. This group would also appreciate direct links to children’s products and informational sites. Merchandisers often provide targeted, best-seller items and personal support to their affiliate. They often offer sales promotions that will benefit the merchandiser as well as the affiliate.

Affiliate marketing is a great situation for both the marketer and the affiliate. If they would work together, they can be an advantage to both. Plus the fact that it seems to make sense, it is easy and inexpensive way to start, and you can be up and running within a few days.  With some research on your side and the added effort of marketing on your part, affiliate marketing can be a good fit.

Turn Your Visitors to Subscribers

When a person visits your site, many times they will leave and not come back unless there are some compelling reasons to do so.  Many visitors are web-surfing and will not come back to your site unless you have something to keep them coming back.

The bottom line is that your visitors may not come back to your website again. If 1,000 visitors visit your website, leave and never come back again, you can imagine the amount of potential revenue lost, simply because they do not come back. You could have converted a fraction of the visitors into your customers.

Some believe that unique content is all that is needed to visitors coming back, but very often, unique content is not the solution. The real, long-term solution lies in converting your visitors into subscribers of your mailing list.

Before your visitor leaves your website, you want to convert him or her into your subscriber via a simple opt-in to your mailing list. You do this by asking for your visitor’s name and email address through your opt-in form.

And if your visitor signs up to be on your mailing list, you can still follow up with him or her via email. You can get your subscriber to consider your offer, or endorse another offer to him or her.

Ultimately what you want to do is  convert as many visitors into subscribers as possible and obtain the potential revenue you rightfully deserve – the easy and wise way.  If you don’t have an opt-in area on your site, that is the first thing to do, then offer something your readers might be interested in to keep them coming back, such as a report or a weekly newsletter.  These are just some simple ways to turn your visitors into subscribers.

How Your Hobby or Passion Can Become Your Niche

If you have a hobby or a passion that is just the start of marketing your niche.  Without passion your niche will not truly be a niche and to be successful the passion must exist.

Many really successful marketers turned their passion or hobby, or what they most cared about into  a successful business.  The main reason for their success was and continues to be because of the passion for their product or website.

Creating a successful niche marketing website does not happen overnight.  This type of site will take a lot of time and dedication but if it is something that you are truly interested in it will not be as difficult.  Staying focused will not be an issue because the interest will be evident.  However, it will still take lots of hard work and dedication before you begin gaining a profit.  Your dedication and fortitude will keep you on track and the only way to be success at niche marketing is to have both those attributes.

You can establish a money-making niche marketing website with the theme about the very things that you love the most. If you can correctly define your niche, make certain that people are willing to pay for the product or service that you are selling, and locate that specific audience; there is no reason why you can’t build a niche marketing site that is all about your greatest passion or the hobby that you most enjoy. Imagine that! Being able to make money and do what you love doing at the same time. It doesn’t get any better than that!

The Road to Your Success

Success – it is so much more than economic stature, titles, degrees, it involves all aspects of your life.  It is important to be able to define who you are, where you are going, how you are going to get there, your destination and the road to that destination.  Once this is determine you can visualize, or see your success right before your eyes.

Let’s begin with identifying Who You Are.

  • When you introduce yourself or someone else introducing you they usually will give your name and sometimes where you are from, but does that truly say Who you are? In order to answer that question you need to look closely at your beliefs, values, and principles aside from professional, cultural and economic status.  Reflecting on your experiences will give you insights on your good or bad traits, knowledge, skills as well as your strengths and weaknesses.  Once you have reflected on these values, you can then determine who you are, what you stand for and what you plan to do in your life to accomplish your goals.

Now it’s time to determine your destination - Where Are You Going (Want to Be)

  • You must first know who you are and once that is determined you will have a clearer idea of what you want to be.  You will know what you must change such as attitudes and habits to get where you want to go.  If you don’t know yourself, your vision and targets for the future will be unclear.  Your destination should cover all the aspects of your being; physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual.

How will you get there – What is Your Mission?

  • How will you get there can also be described as your mission.  However, your mission depends on what you know about yourself.  When you know, truly know about yourself, you will be able to choose your mission.  If for instance your mission is to help others or you choose to dedicate yourself to serving others, you must know this in order to be successful in your chosen mission.

What is Needed and Required

  • You must have knowledge, skills and attitudes to reach your vision.  You need to assess what knowledge you have, the skills you may need to acquire and the attitudes that may need to be changed or enhanced to attain your vision.

The Road You Must Take

  • Planning out your life, requires that you know the landmarks or roads you must take.  The landmarks are the measures of your success.  The measures must be specific, attainable, realistic and time bound.  You must be very realistic in determining these measures.  Wanting two entirely different things or visions may be destructive in that you may not reach either because of the unrealistic measures placed upon yourself.  You must prepare yourself for detours or unanticipated turns on your road to success.  You will want to minimize the hasty and spur-of-the-moment decisions that will merely just make you lose your way.

Like any road, there will be detours and so will your road to success.  However, if your mission or goal is to succeed in your chosen path, then you must anticipate them and adjust accordingly.  Never let them interfere and lead you away from the path to success you have chosen.  It can be accomplished and only with you will power, knowledge and persistence will it be done.

Empowering Your Communication Methods

Communication is something that is necessary, but folks still seem to have difficulties with.  In order to perfect your method of communication or rather EMPOWER it, you must begin learning by learning about yourself.

  • Begin with what you know – to become an effective speaker, you must practice what you have learned.  Education is about learning,  but that is not all you need to become an effective and powerful speaker.  You must learn your limitations and only you know your limitations.
  • Learn to listen – Yes, we all know that you learn by asking questions, but listening is just as important.  Learn to listen to your own voice.  When you speak, do you speak with confidence? Conviction? Listen to what you say and how you say things and start believing it what you say and say it with conviction.
  • Keep your eye contact – This is one of the most important gestures that must be practiced in order to learn it and perform it without hesitation.  When speaking to others eye-contact is very important.  Keep your focus when speaking to large groups and direction your attention with your gaze, your audience will be entranced and not want to miss a word you are speaking.
  • Humility – It’s okay to make mistakes, after all no on is perfect.  In fact others will relate to you more because you are not afraid to show your weakness.  It’s okay to ask if you are pronouncing a word correctly, this shows humility and others will respond more to this than to arrogance.
  • Humor works – When in a situation that you may feel uncomfortable or perhaps in a room of people you are preparing to speak to, humor will help tremendously.  Breaking the ice with humor will make the time go quicker.  The crowd will feel that you are approachable and will listen to what you may have to say.
  • Smile - A smile says it all much like eye contact. There’s no point on grimacing or frowning in a meeting or a gathering, unless it’s a wake. You can better express what you’re saying when you smile.
  • Practice, practice, practice -  Admit it, there are times you sing to yourself in the shower. I know I do! Listening to the sound of your own voice while you practice your speech in front of a mirror can help correct the stress areas of your pitch.
  • Relax – There are many tips that you will find in books or online regarding communication, public speaking and so on.  However, the most important tip to remember is to relax.  Take a deep breathe, and relax.  Nothing will ever come out right if you are nervous, or jittery.  Be comfortable with what you know and it will show.

These tips are some that will help empower you when it comes to communication of any form.  Sure public or private speaking can be intimidating, but only if you allow it to be.  Be confident in your knowledge and it will show in your poise and words and people will listen and enjoy.
