Clarity Time
There are times when we need to take a break from our busy lives to gain clarity. Yes, time off!
It is understandable that you want to spend every waking hour on your business, especially a new business. But, that will only lead to a burn out stage and all the hard work you have put into your business will be useless.
With anything in life, it is necessary to take time off, step away from your work and relax. It is amazing how much clearer and productive you will be when you return. Yes, there are sacrifices to be made to make our dreams and goals a reality, but staying sane and healthy should be on the top of your list.
It is wise to disconnect, unplug and step away briefly to gain essential clarity time. When you step away and FOCUS on other things you will come back to your project, business or relationship with a refreshed and new outlook. I can’t stress enough the importance stepping away has on your success in your life in general.
Don’t push away your family, friends, or business partners. A support system is necessary in every and any project we pursue. Take some time off and truly enjoy your relationships.
Come back after your brief, but well deserved break and put all your thoughts and efforts to work. You’ll be amazed how the ideas will flourish and you will be completely energized to move forward.

Boy, isn’t that the truth?
And the worst part is that whenever I do it, I still feel guilty — like if I’m not working in the business all the time — I’m not pulling my share of the load.
When, in fact, we all need to take a step away. I have some of my best ideas when I’m hiking in our woods!
So there you have it — take a hike, get an idea!
I’ll blog about that on my own site! :0)
This is lovely! Taking time out is what I’m always helping my clients to do and your post reminded me of a wonderful Leonardo da Vinci quote that I posted on my blog some time ago. I’ll share it with you…
“Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for when you come back to your work your judgement will be surer. Go some distance away because then the work appears smaller and more of it can be taken in at a glance and a lack of harmony and proportion is more readily seen.”
This really does work, thank you Carrie
Amen Carrie – you keep those messages of wisdoe coming
Carrie, thanks for the reminder!
I’ve been burning the candle at both ends lately, implementing all I’m learning.
I think an afternoon of play will do my family, my self, and my business a whole lot of good!
