Day 15 – 25 left to change your direction!

Ok — I’m going to be brutally honest…some of you aren’t posting because you’ve gotten distracted. Right? TELL US HERE and we can help! Accountability is powerful!

I have NOT been walking as much as I planned. That changes TODAY.

However, business-wise — my focus has been CRYSTAL CLEAR!

One of my goals was to develop a myspace page — I really am needing to embrace the social media more and so here it is —-  http://www.myspace.com/6figuremom— feel free to tag me as a friend and post a great Barefoot Executive-related comment! Link your site there too so we know where to find you!

(next: facebook, linkedin, twitter, etc) — WHEW — HOW WILL I MANAGE IT ALL?? Well, guess what? I know a really great teenager that LOVES myspace, etc – and she is going to keep on top of those FOR ME! To maximize your team…find an expert in the field — and who better than a teenager!?!

SOME THOUGHTS FOR TODAY:

Persistence
There is no substitute for persistence! It cannot be supplanted by any other quality! Remember this in the beginning and it will hearten you when the going may seem difficult and slow.

Those who have cultivated the habit of persistence seem to enjoy insurance against failure. No matter how many times they are defeated, they finally arrive up near the top of the ladder. Sometimes it appears there is a hidden guide whose duty is to test people through all sorts of discouraging experiences. Those who pick themselves up after defeat and keep on trying arrive; and the world cries, “Bravo! I knew you could do it!” The hidden guide lets no one enjoy great achievement without passing the persistence test. Those who can’t take it simply do not make the grade..

Those who can “take it” are bountifully rewarded for their persistence. They receive, as their compensation, whatever goal they are pursuing.

  1. Hi, Carrie! Loved your first effort at You Tube – you Worked it – thanks for the inspiration :)
No, the reason I am not posting is NOT that I am procrastinating. There are 2 reasons for lack of posts -
    1) – focus – and the computer hasn’t been my focus (for once) -yay me!! I have been focusing on my business and goals, and I am seeing good results. GREAT energy in my business right now – lots of new customers and new income – Hooray! Wonderful Bible time daily, water intake has improved and become more consistent.
2 – since you so graciously answered my post (Day 9) I am reevaluating my “Why”s. I agree that negative motivation is really powerful. SO – I have been re-thinking how to word my goals to incorporate my whys. They are still my goals, and I am still working them, but I want to re-post them when I have that organized – which I will do if I get stonewalled, BUT for now momentum is good enough to just keep going :)
THANKS for your encouragement and inspiration !!

PS – Gee – just looked outside – it is snowing AGAIN!! Egad!!! Doesn’t this stop? This is western Washington state, in late April and I’ve been here 12 years and have never seen snow in April. Knock it off, already! ;) I know, this too will pass.

  2. Here in south central Texas it would be nice to have a breath of cold air and a drop of moisture!
I am seeing very good results from the focus on focus. committing myself to finish a certain amount of things each day and doing it makes me want to pat myself on the back. it’s the old ‘plan your work and work your plan’ thing.
today is a home office day, phone calls, setting appoinmtnets for the week, mailing out orders AND waiting for the repair person to come fix my washing machine. What a life! Oh yes, and making time to talk with my son who just moved home for a short while…

  3. Ok brutally honest sometimes hurts that is why it is brutal………

Day 15 and my focus has shifted. It seems that what I desired to focus on was not what God wanted me to focus on. So the beginning of last week I refocused and now God is answering and confirming and I am hearing some awesome new exciting things. I am now focused on listening to God. Since April 14th when I got still and focused on His voice amazing things have happened. I don’t want to be Moses. I want to be Noah. I am building an ark and He is gathering the hearts two by two.

  4. I’m so proud of ALL OF YOU!!

    Yeah for you!!

Keep us posted! We had snow on May 6th and TODAY we’re digging a pool in shorts – GO FIGURE!

Working on the patio, watching the pool diggers while Baby Barefoot plays in her walker on the porch…

What a life – focused and fabulous, Carrie
