No More Excuses
Have you ever heard the phrase: ‘Excuses or results, but never both’? Well, that’s what I live by. Sure it’s very easy to come up with an excuse as to why something was not accomplished, but it feels so much better to get the results after working very hard or making the right decisions..
Results are not easy to come by but when they do we must relish that moment. More importantly be aware of what you did to get that result and duplicate it. This phrase is fitting for any part of our lives. As many of you know I lost over 100lbs. It wasn’t easy by any means, but I was not going to allow excuses to get in the way of my ultimate goal. Now recently we moved into our dream home, again because of results and not excuses. You can find things in your lives that you are very happy and content with and those too are from results, not excuses.
Quite simply excuses will lead you to run in circles like a hamster on a wheel. Determine what your goal is and don’t let anyone or anything interfere with that goal. More importantly acquire a support team in order to succeed. Your support team may include your spouse, parents, family or all of the above. Your support system may also be comprised of individuals that are striving for the same results as you. Together you can accomplish your goals and end with results.
Strive for results, put the excuses aside. As one of my most precious mentors {Zig Ziglar} says: ‘Every choice you make has an end result‘. I choose to do just that, make the the right choices that will lead to results, won’t you do the same?

Great article! Right decisions, mentor and support group will for sure help you get to your destination once you know where you want to go and take action.
We always have a choice. Great decisions will produce great results. Guaranteed! Good post
You’re a powerful example of what you just shared Carrie. Others teach, you not only teach – you DO.
You’re a living testament that what you teach works, because you always back up your beliefs and goals with action, and I love that.
You know what, excuses are just reasons why we can’t, and if we’re going to come up with reasons… then why not come up with reasons why we CAN?
It all boils down to the questions you ask yourself, so if you’re reading this, take a big page out of Carrie’s book and ask yourself why YOU can, today.

You never get anything accomplished with excuses except failure and failure is not an option. If you do not make your intended target the first time, you simply have a way that does not work and more opportunities to try another way.
Thanks for the great example and this post.
