Romancing Your Audience

Now don’t roll your eyes, people want to be romanced and your audience is included.  Do you remember your first date? It was great how your date tried to ‘Woo‘ you with flowers, and sweet words.  At times your date succeeded and a relationship began. Notice the word ‘relationship’? A relationship is necessary in building your audience. Remember we want to fill our stadium with adoring fans and that requires building a relationship.

In order to ‘Woo’ or romance your audience, you must build your audience.  It’s difficult to ‘Woo’ and empty stadium. There are several ways you can entice your audience and below are just a few examples:

  • Social Media – You can build an audience that you can then, ‘Woo’ via social media.  Remember it’s about building relationships and communities not simply a numbers game.
  • Opt-in Pages – Offering your audience valuable information in the form of an Ebook, Report, video or audio is a great way to build your audience.
  • Sales/Squeeze Pages – if you have something that you know your audience can benefit from, using this method works well too.

Now all the methods I mentioned above work beautifully, but the most important concept to keep in mind is being authentic.  When you are true, and authentic you will instantly attract individuals that will want to learn more about you and what you do.  When you are ‘real’, your audience will feel that attraction and feel like they actually ‘know’ you. That is essentially the most important point of this entire post.  In order to romance and Woo your audience you must first be comfortable in your own skin.  You must truly believe that whatever product or service you have to offer will truly help others.  Your audience will grow by leaps and bounds when they feel that connection.  How will you ‘Woo’ your audience today?
