Treat Your List Like Gold
Anyone that knows me or has heard of me, knows that I cherish my list. Most importantly, I don’t consider them a list instead I consider them my circle of friends. It’s important to consider your list or friends as just that, friends. No one likes to be considered a number because quite frankly we are people with feelings and concerns.
For those of you who are having difficulty attracting folks to your circle, perhaps the tips I share below will help.
- Branding is essential – keep your colors and log consistent in everything you do. Adding your colors to your sites, products, E-books, Special Reports will keep your look professional and consistent. If using a photo of yourself, keep the same photo for a period of time so people can connect your face with your products and site.
- Newsletter/Ezine – keep in touch with your ‘list’ and be consistent. If you offer a newsletter/ezine it is important to be consistent, and deliver great information that will keep your ‘list’ happy. Be sure to send out at least twice a month or they will forget who you are.
- Social Media – when getting involved in social media such as Twitter and Facebook it is essential to be authentic and true. Deliver great information and stay connected. You can use social media to share new posts or events you will be having. When getting connected on social media have a strategy in mind. Be consistent, conversational and calculated. By calculated I mean, follow people on purpose and join in the conversation. The best tip of all is to have FUN! No one wants to connect to a ‘fuddy duddy’ or someone who is negative and pessimistic.
If you need more help with building your list you may enjoy a free mini-course called Magnetic List Building. In this course I share tips to build your list and how to treat them like gold.
There are many more tips I can share, but the only way to do it and do it successfully is merely taking the first step and being consistent. Of course, just as any business, growth will not occur overnight but it will occur. Be patient, firm and authentic.
