What is Outsourcing – How Can It Help Me?
The easiest way to define outsourcing is where a business owner pays someone to do work for them who doesn’t work at the business site. For example, you can hire a ghostwriter to write your articles. You pay the ghostwriter and the article is yours to submit, post on your site, or add to your blog.
Outsourcing gives business owners the opportunity to do other things. It gives you the ability to grow your business in other ways, add new tasks or products to your business, or spend more time with your family.
When you outsource certain tasks for your business, you can dedicate your time to the tasks that make you money. Those are more than likely, not something you can hire someone to do, so you will need to do them yourself.
You can outsource so many tasks, but of course what you outsource will depend on your business. Here are just a few of the tasks you can outsource:
1. Newsletter creation and submission
2. Article writing and submissions
3. Blog writing and posting
4. Social Media
5. Email management
6. Attend training sessions and take notes for you
7. Set appointments for you or add your appointments to your calendar
8. Research
9. Manage your affiliate program
10. Market your affiliate programs for you
To have a better understanding of outsourcing, I must tell you that the people you will hire are called ghostwriters or virtual assistants. This may help you to understanding of what outsourcing is about and who will help you.
When you outsource tasks in your business, you will feel better about your business. You will feel like you can grow and have success, you will be happy with your business, and you feel like it can really happen. Stress is one of the worst things you can do for your business. Outsourcing will help prevent stress in your business.
As a business owner, you should consider outsourcing projects and tasks that will give you more time to grow your business and have time with your family. When you outsource you will have the time to go on a vacation and go to events that you never thought possible because you had to constantly work your business.
So, how will you you monitor your time more effectively? Consider outsourcing to give you more time to focus on your main goals.

I always find it interesting when talking to small business owners who won’t even consider outsourcing. Yet all of them use the postal service or Fed Ex to deliver packages, use a credit card company to take credit cards, outsource communications to a phone company or internet service. All of these are outsourcing events yet we don’t see them that way because that is the “normal” way of doing things.
When we stop to realize that if we focus on the things we do well and outsource things that others do well we can grow our business dramatically. When I become the limiting factor, my business growth slows down.
Great article on outsourcing. Don’t forget people like mentors, coaches, etc as outsource events too.
What a great article on outsourcing! I would point out that outsourcing shouldn’t be limited to administrative and marketing tasks. There is greater acceptance of professional services being provided on an outsourced basis — services such as project management and bookkeeping/accounting. As with any kind of outsourcing, you’re buying the services of a professional, but you’re also buying yourself peace of mind and less stress.
